Telling a story that connects to people is so important, if they love your content they will keep on engaging with you. It then becomes personal. Lets break it down.

“Trigger emotions so your audience can connect with you.”
Stories
Quick and raw content, this is the most interactive and my favorite! You can use polls, questions, stickers and so on to get engagement. Its a great prompt! It lasts for 24 hours so it becomes urgent as you cannot watch it later. 1 in 5 are likely to respond to your stories. So post stories that lead to a DM.
The Feed/ Aesthetics
Permanent, this has to be perfect due to OCD right? Lol. You can see social gain - likes, views, saves and forwards. 1 in 25 are likely to respond. Valuable and shareable content is key, users decide who they follow based on individual posts! I used to think it was always because of the aesthetic of your feed, but its not the case. Try to add value with each post as well as a conversation opener. We are all on self-isolation/ quarantine and I’ve noticed that brands/ creatives are not creating content based on empathy, so that may be a good idea for new content. Trigger emotions so your audience can connect with you.
The importance of responding to DMs
Respond to all your DMs! If not, you will lose them fast! Did you know responding to DMs makes you more likely to appear on their explore page? Instagram sees that they like your content due to engagement, even how long they spend on your posts and stories! So make sure to respond to DMs, start a conversation and create that connection!
Comments and responses
People, its 2020, we should not be leaving fire emojis man lol. On a serious note, it should be a personal comment or one that will open up a conversation. So stop leaving emojis!
