What associations do you think of when you hear Nike? Top athletes, running shoes, Back to the Future, Michael Jordan and the list goes on and on! One of my favourite collaborations from last year was Stranger Things. If you're a fan of the Netflix series like I am... Click on the picture below to watch the video of when Dustin calls me! Yes, he calls me!
“The company was founded in 1964, as Blue Ribbon Sports, by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, and officially became Nike, Inc. in 1971. The company takes its name from Nike, the Greek goddess of victory.”
So the question is, what do you want people to say about your brand? How does your brand add value to people? In basic terms, it should be "how can I help?" We all understand this.
Consistent brands innovate, are addictive, creative and are fully obsessed with change.
What do you think makes a good brand? Time to get brain storming!

The Logo
The swoosh logo is a such a good example of how a visual turns a business into a credible brand. This Iogo is now part of sports culture hands down. As you know already I love the Nike brand, hence this post. I just love their creativity! It’s insane! One example - look at Nike's sneaker boxes, so many have dope (amazing) designs + the Nike guys/ gals in the design team are very clever with it! I don’t think they are running out of creative juices anytime soon either! I am a big sucker for branding!
Okay, so back on topic - the Nike logo was designed by Carolyn Davidson in 1971 for just $35 but there is so much more to this story, it took Carolyn about three weeks to come up with the final design to perfect it.

A good brand: has a clear focus addicted to change knows their target audience has a goal can identify their key values has a solution for a problem can tell their story have a brand identity does all of this consistently
